From the study's data on dog bites during the specified period, a total of 1155 cases were recorded; an alarming 42% (49) of these resulted in fatalities from rabies. The predicted odds of human mortality decreased amongst those who were bitten by canine companions, when compared to those bitten by unsupervised canines. In a similar vein, a predicted decrease in the possibility of human mortality was evident among victims of vaccinated dog bites compared to those bitten by unvaccinated dogs. Waste and rubber products, among other materials, have been incorporated into road construction efforts to heighten the performance of bituminous pavements. The present research project is aimed at modifying bitumen using nitrile rubber (NBR) in combination with thermosetting materials such as Bakelite (B), Furan Resin (FR), and Epoxy resin (ER). The crux of the problem in Modified Bituminous Concrete lies in formulating a mixture that maximizes Marshall Stability (MS) while minimizing flow. Using Minitab software, the Taguchi Design of Experiments technique was employed to configure the experiments. In Design-Expert software, the desirability function approach was applied to perform a multi-objective optimization and an analysis of variance (ANOVA). According to ANOVA analysis, NBR, B, ER, and FR emerge as the key significant parameters impacting Marshall Stability (MS) and Flow Value (FV). SEM and EDS images illustrate that sample S1 (5% NBR, 10% Bakelite, 10% FR, 25% ER) displays a smoother, finer surface with smaller pores in comparison to sample S34 (10% NBR, 0% Bakelite, 10% FR, 25% ER) in the modified bitumen samples. The multi-optimization process identified the following parameters as optimal for MS and FV: 76% NBR, 48% Bakelite, 25% FR, and 26% ER. Under optimal circumstances, a maximum MS of 1484 KN and a minimum FV of 284 mm are observed. To verify the effectiveness of the optimization, confirmation runs were executed, yielding results that fell within a 5% margin of error under optimal conditions.

The condition of masked obesity (MO) is identified by a normal body mass index (BMI) but a high body fat percentage (%BF), and its presence often correlates with the initiation of lifestyle-related illnesses. However, the current situation regarding MO is poorly understood. Accordingly, we delved into the relationship between MO and physical traits and lifestyle practices among Japanese university students.
From 2011 to 2019, our investigation included a sample of 10,168 males and 4,954 females, all with BMIs in the normal range (18.5 to 25 kg/m2). For men, MO was determined by 20% body fat, and for women, it was defined as 30% body fat. The students' questionnaire encompassed questions pertaining to their lifestyle habits. Blood pressure, broken down into systolic and diastolic components, was evaluated, and hypertension was determined when systolic pressure exceeded 140 mmHg or diastolic pressure exceeded 90 mmHg. Through multivariate logistic regression, the research explored the connections: masked obesity and reported lifestyle habits, perceived ideal body image, and anthropometric measurements; hypertension and body composition indices.
The percentage of students with MO in 2019 was notably higher in females, at 258%, compared to males, who had a rate of 134%. This female rate of MO experienced a continuous increase over the period.
